ugh, I really am upset that EA decided to delay it for thier own gain! Just because it would already be out doesn't mean they can't still advertise for it. I think they need to learn to not be so selfish...I really wish this were a rumor and not set in stone but where I pre-ordered the game, it has the date change there as well so I have to tell myself this is real. My mind is still trying to cope with the news, I thought I was prepared for a delay but...I was really hoping a delay would never come.

All last week, I was thinking about paying the game off, good thing I didn't. Gamestop used to give back your cash, now, it's either store credit or a gift card, due to companies delaying too many games, and people getting their cash back.
That's total bulls*it, that they delayed the game this late...right like days before release. And it's all gonna be a big flop anyways, all but the PC version will suck, getting at most a 7/10 for the console versions. I even have a feeling the PC version may suck. Usually, those games that comes out for all systems at the same time usually are the suckiest games.
And what are they competing against? I know they aren't trying to compete against some shooter that a bunch of blood thirsty men in a death ring would kill to get. I would love to see EA compete against a shooter, or a stealth game...I would laugh when they totally fail at that. We all know TS3 would be less superior in sales. Now, a racing game, they may have a chance, it depends on the name of the franchise of the racing game.
But it's all cool, just a bit disappointed that I won't be playing it this month or next month. Now, instead of buying TS3, I can save an extra $100 and get something else. I know for sure that I can trust Nintendo and the Pokemon company, with their Platinum release date...they never let me down in the 11 years I'd been playing Pokemon. Due to Nintendo sticking to their release date and updating us, I am not their only fan that has a bond and has trust in them, unlike EA. Thank you, Nintendo and the Pokemon Company.
Just stick to HTML. C++ and .NET ect is Useless if you want to just know what they are.

It'll be something like that for the UK too. Seems they've thrown the whole 'worldwide release' out the door, I guess. We're back to the US getting it first, and a few other countries perhaps, and the rest of the world getting it later. I hate that scenario. But I guess it's an American franchise, it's up to them. As long as it's only a week later or something.

It just annoys me. If they can spare 4 months to delay the game, surely they could make it worldwide? I don't want to hear about how half the world has it and how it's so amazingly fantastic, when I don't have it myself!

Same here, I'll get jealous, I won't lie.
I'm just not going to come online (well, not to the Sim community online, anyhoo) until I have the game myself. I don't want to hear about how other people have it, and how amazingly awesomely fantastical it is. I seriously don't understand what the issue is with a worldwide release. Is it difficult to have the world get it on the same day or something? I don't see how... Like, back when it was going to be released on the 20th, yet Australia we're getting it on the 12th or something, and a handful of countries on the 19th, I was just wondering why. I mean, why can't we ALL get it on the 12th/19th/20th. Meh, I'm not political so I don't want to wind myself up over it. But it annoys me the same Adam.

Yes, EA is situated over the globe, so it's not some kind of immigration thing. It just sucks. Because EA don't like the people that keeps their company going.
You know, I really hope that the whole June thing is a complete joke, and they'll come out and say "Early April Fools!" And state that there will be a worldwide release on February the 20th.

I always dreamed the very latest the game would come out is May, just because how EA kept reinstating the first quarter of this year, and how it was coming along fantastically. It annoys me how the game now is almost, if not already, polished to perfection, yet we've got to sit here for 4 months and wait for something that is already finished. It's like HBP, they're filming DEATHLY HALLOWS this freaking month (omg, Rupert and Emma are supposed to be filming their first kiss this month aswell, dayum I hope that leaks!) and HBP is not even going to be out until July.
And people keep going on about how at least there will be less bugs. Um, no. They're only delaying for marketing reasons, not to kill those pesky bugs.
But at least this summer is going to be pretty full. In two consecutive months I'll be getting Sims 3 and then HBP. Pretty amazing for me.
