Re: Parenting children - Cassie - 16-04-2008 02:33 PM My mum used to slap me when I was younger, as did my friend's mothers, it was very common to see a child slapped in public, and you still see it to this day, but nowhere near as much as you would when I was little. Which is good, because I think slapping children is a violent act on young children and it's really quite scary for them and unkind, I don't think it should be allowed at all. :-\ Re: Parenting children - ChalyssaMuch - 16-04-2008 05:04 PM my parents rarely spanked me or anything my sister spanked me more i dont know who she thought she was.. anyways i think its a sign of cowardly i know littler kids can be tough but hitting them should never be your solution and it shouldnt be brought about in a game. Definately I do not think we'll ever see adults splapping children in The Sims, no matter what version. It's just not suitable. Re: Parenting children - sims3luva22 - 17-04-2008 04:29 AM Now public discipline isn't something that should be done, well in public. But with in reason, punishment should be up to the parents. Some kids are more disciplined then others. Some aren't and maybe a spanking is what works for them. However, I don't think EAxis will allow any form of hitting, it would be seen as abuse but you never know. Re: Parenting children - ChalyssaMuch - 17-04-2008 06:39 AM besides that being in the game is too realistic and the kinda realistic i dont want in A GAME Re: Parenting children - Charmedangel4543 - 17-04-2008 07:40 PM I very much doubt any violence beyond the dust cloud during sim fights.Although I always thought it would be funny to see a bully push a kid off the swing. I do not know why, it would just entertain me as the child ran to their mum and whined. Re: Parenting children - Cassie - 17-04-2008 10:47 PM Haha, that would be quite funny to watch! I mean, it's very mean and nasty, but it'd be interesting to have in the game. They don't have to be actually violent, they could just pick on kids and whatnot. If there is some fee for a school lunch (or an option to pack something at home), they could take their money/cookies. I want lots of drama within sim families. Its ridiculous how peaceful they are. Babies: All age groups should be able to interact with them - even toddlers. The parents could show the baby to them and supervise them playing together. Toddlers: Interactions between toddlers - basically just playing and messing with each other (sharing and stealing toys, playfully hitting each other, hands in each others faces etc) Kids should be able to play games with them - maybe not take care of them Kids: Have puppy love and cute little crushes. Imitate and mess with older siblings (Ratting out their sister if they catch them making out with a boy/coming in late, take their clothes/makeup. Teens: Rebellion (breaking curfew, picking on younger siblings, talking back) Actual fights with parents Parents: Ability to ground. Get into fights with other parent. [/quote] yes i believe thats a concept of the game that really needs to change alot. i love all the ideas you listed so much. you have no idea. It would add so much to the game and its reality aspect. i love it. Re: Parenting children - dejadejavu - 18-04-2008 12:59 PM Well thanks! I'm a fan too. I'll be real disappointed with this game if relationship aren't suped up. I mean its great that sims can have a favorite food or drink...but don't get so excited (game developers) that you forget to program emotions! |
