100%. And, I mean, the new Dumbledore's clothes...what's with that?? You mean they couldn't keep the same costumes? They were so much more regal and...fitting! And what's with tying his beard in a ponytail? And the hat...ugh, the hat!

Sorry, I feel very strongly about this Wink

I've never met any members of MuggleNet, unless you count talking to a few on webcam lol. Most of them seem so awesome. I've talked to so many people on Mugglenet in the past. And this is the scary thing, and I could be so wrong about this, but I just thought I'd mention, but Evanna talks on Mugglenet (for everybody else, she is Luna Lovegood!), and I remember about 3 years ago now, before she was ever Luna, that I had a conversation about some Goblet of Fire Promotional Photos with somebody called Evanna on the comments. I know it's nothing like ever meeting the cast like you have, Bambi, but it's really something for me, if that really was Evanna! It might not have been, probably won't have been, but if it was, it feels so great to have had a conversation with Luna Lovegood!

And yes, maybe I could just live in Hogwarts and blend in there lol! I want to be an extra in the films... I entered a competition to be an extra in the 6th, but never won of course. I'm still going to try and be in the 7th. I want to be a random member of the DA lol!

And about your question - No, I do not like Dumbledore in the movies! Richard Harris in the first two was perfect! But now Michael Gambon really dissapoints me. He lacks the warmth, friendliness and humour that he's suupposed to have. And I love Dumbledore in the books. When I picture Dumbledore, I always picture Richard Harris. Big Grin

Wow, that would be awesome if it was Evanna! It'd be like you knew her before she was a star Smile You'll have to ask her about it, if you ever get the chance Big Grin

That'd be so cool if you were in the 7th movie, especially if you were part of the DA - 'cause then you could film scenes with Dan...and Rupert Wink I've always wanted to try out - never got the chance Sad

And about Dumbledore, same here. Richard Harris was Dumbledore. That kind of brilliance just can't be replaced. Michael Gambon doesn't deserve the same level of respect as Harris did. Richard Harris will always be Dumbledore, in my eyes.

I don't understand why they keep Gambon, so many people dislike him as Dumbledore. Nobody could replace Richard Harris but I'm positive they can find someone who posesses more of the Dumbledore nature than he does. I don't respect him as Dumbledore at all. And you know what scene always sticks in my mind? In GoF, when Harry had been selected to be a part of the Triwizard Tournament, and Dumbledore grabbed him really violently and sort of, pushed him backwards angrily before asking him, in a tone I no way assocciate with Dumbledore, if he put his name into the Goblet.

Oh, I hated that!! He was acting like a mad man!

And I hate the way he picks up his "dress" when he walks. Again, can I say how much I hate the new costume?

I haven't actually notcied the new costume, but I just compared, and I see what you mean!

Sorry for lack of good pictures, I did a Google seach and nothing good came up. :Smile But Gambon's dress is so dull and boring and not to mention cheap-looking compared to Harris', whose looks much more regal and Dumledore-ish lol.

And can I just say, he is just SO Dumbledore. I love this picture!

AGREED!!!

I kind of can't wait for the sixth movie just because of what happens to Dumbledore...it'll be nice to see Michael Gambon disappear for a while Wink

I've been thinking that. Now I don't know whether I'll be crying a river when I watch that scene in the cinema or be smirking a little because finally we can say good riddance... for a little while, anyway. But I'm guessing I'll cry. I cry for anything. I also cried when Sirius died (to the annoyance of my friends, who were embarassed by me, and the other people in the cinema, who kept giving me looks) so no doubt I'll be in tears for Dumbledore. Just picture him as Richard Harris in that scene and no doubt you'll be crying too. :'(
