Wouldn't it just be a better idea to move on and interview somebody else while they're away? I think this waiting just extends the wait for others who have serious issues that they want to be considered before it's too late (aka the forums name. You already said it is possibly too late, so all this waiting isn't really ideal for me). This is just a suggestion, I'm not trying to be rude.
