I'm not sure of the EXACT details, but I do know Fraternal twins are two children born from two seperate sperms that fertilize two seperate eggs, where identicle come from one sperm fertilizing one egg.
For example, the Olsen twins are NOT identicle. They have very similar features, but they, along with Tia and Temara Mowry (sister sister, twitches), have been proven to be cases of Fraternal twins that are nearly identicle.
Just goes to show the First Born Glitch happens in real life too ;p LOL
As for the whole "opposite gender" question ... I'm pretty sure that unless they are the same gender, they are considered Fraternal, because being as one is boy and one is girl ... they cannot be identicle.

Ok excellent...Thank you. I didn't know the olsen twins was not identicle. I did notice a slight difference up to date, but i thought it was because of their different lifestyles(You know the stories). lol back on topic.

I didnt know that either about mary-kate and ashley. You guys have no have me starting a sims challenge.. i am going to see how many sets of twins i have.
