well if she went to the camp, then she shouldn't have said anything about it being delayed, the signed a lil contract when they attended not to mention anything specific; a lot of other people that attended on other sites never once said anything about it and they all have been pretty detailed about what went down at the camp.

- French Amazon give a releasedate of February 26 (though a delay of just a week is not unusual considering shipping times).

Hopefully EA will clear up the confusion soon. Note that near all american shops still have a releasedate of Feb 16 or 20.

I'm still not concerned.
1. Most of the American sites haven't changed the date.
2. The confusion is happening in other parts of the world.
3. Let EA say something, and since they haven't, I'm not worried.
4. If they don't announce a delay in 2-3 weeks, there isn't gonna be one, it would be like days till the 20th by then.
5. Or it can be that it may be delayed in other parts of the world, which is why the rest of the world is getting confused...there are different EA companies, like EA UK an EA Aussie.
6. People need to stop believing every little thing they hear. Like it's all rumors, like it's crazy on the BBS, they need to put on their binkies and shut up, and wait till EA say something.
7. And they are still coming out with promotion coupons--like new ones if you order from certain places...I heard about a new promotion/pattern someplace this week, and it has Feb. 21 as it's activation date. Then what would they do with them if it is delayed, a lot of people would be PO, if they bought the CE and got that car code at home and that Target promotion. ( I personally will) They need to change the activation dates and not completely cancel them if there would be a delay.

for me it says enough that neither gamespot or ign have changed their date, that while both just recently released a preview and gamespot even got a hands-on on the game. meaning that they're preparing for the release, in a few weeks or so we may even get to see the gameplay vid of what gamespot played. they would not let them play with a completely beta-game.
plus i agree with all that suggieglider said. it's only the rumours that say its delayed and some stores here in europe and australia. until EA itself does not say anything i still think it's on track

There was a gamespot vid with the site having an interview with one of the Sims 3 producers and she stated at the end of it "The Sims 3 will be released later this year" I do not know if she said that just for the fun of it or what? But then I also got the thinking sometime this coming week into next week they should release the official game cover and they haven't. Most games that are coming out next month and even March have covers for their games already, unless EA is not going to give The Sims 3 a cover like the Sims 2, which is cool also.
EA loves to surprise people, its a trend i've noticed about that company, and with them being on the hush-hush about this game for years up until spring of last year they are capable of anything. Plus not to mention if is becomes big news they are pushing it towards Spring or early Summer, then sites like Gamespot, IGN.com, and even Gamestop will get the news and inform everyone about it.

If we think about it, February is later this year...it isn't that far, but it is later, but later does mean a few months away.
And you're right, Scene, if they was pushing the date, websites would tell us, like IGN and stuff. EA and popular gaming sites, usually only IGN and Gamespot, I'd trust. I would take IGN and Gamespot with good trust, but EA is my ultimate trust when it comes to it's own news.
I am just hoping at least two more weeks can pass by...if there is no announcement, rest assured, it is not delayed.

They're messing with us.
We are starting these threads about it being delayed, and EA don't even know it's happening.
They are probably making millions of copies of the game right now and getting them all ready to ship off...
