I've done it before, it's pure agony for someone such as myself. I once had to go 3 days without any kind of electricity at all, I think that was the most miserable time of my life considering life was already bad and the last thing I needed was no TV, computer or fan heater to keep me warm.

That sounds terrible.
I've had to deal without power for a while before, but it was just because of a storm...nothing too awful.
