If you don't want to see them "crying" about it on the forums, don't read their comments. As simple as that.[/quote] Its kind of hard not to read there comments. Re: I'm not too pleased with the game - killerkenya - 05-06-2009 05:05 AM They are just pointing out the fact that the forums are here for all of our opinions. If someones opinion is what you would define as "crying", then you are saying they shouldn't post. Basically, you don't really have the right to tell users not to post. If anyone would, it would be the moderators, but even they wouldn't reject someones right to post, positive and negative alike. ANYWAYS. This really worried me at first, but everyone's comments have really helped me calm back down. Now I know to expect some frustrations, but I know it will be worth it. Re: I'm not too pleased with the game - b-rad - 05-06-2009 05:41 AM I am on MSN with Phoebe right now, and she has the game, and she is talking with me while she plays Its amazing XD Re: I'm not too pleased with the game - trinityseven - 05-06-2009 08:21 AM I'm enjoying the game a lot - in fact, it's a bit too addictive at the moment!!!! I have the options all turned up to high and no lag so far, though I did have a crash dump last night and hadn't saved for a while /sigh. No matter, I didn't really like that family anyway, so promptly made a new one LOL The real difference I'm finding is that things like relationships seem a lot harder to develop! My family- 3 brothers, are so busy working and skill training that they hardly ever meet any girls (single ones), and when they do, nothing seems to happen. They are pushing on toward adulthood and still single LOL Re: I'm not too pleased with the game - lebeau - 05-06-2009 02:17 PM I love the game, but I think I'm going to need to adjust the life span. 90 days just doesn't seem like enough time to do everything. I'm sure it also helps to have a little $$ saved up. My first sim had to spend a lot of time fixing stuff around the house, cleaning, etc. He married, but never had children and he'll be an elder in a couple days. Re: I'm not too pleased with the game - Rena - 05-06-2009 02:40 PM I want to make my sim's age shorter! 7 days for a toddler?! WAY too much. Toddlers are kinda a boring stage anyways, and they're a little uglehh in this game, I have to admit. D: Re: I'm not too pleased with the game - Deja_Vu - 05-06-2009 06:05 PM this game is definitely not for someone who want's instant gratification or results. You have to work at it. They weren't kidding when they said career/relationships would be harder to level. It'll definitely take a few days or weeks to get used to all the game has to offer. And it seems like that the problems in this thread could easily be solved by tweaking the game options. Don't want to click your mouse to scan the area? Go to game options. Sim age too fast/slow? Go to game options. It seems like they knew what you'd be annoyed about. xD Plus, there are lovely lovely cheats. You just gotta keep playing and exploring the game until you stumble upon the solutions to your issues with the games. It took me more than an hour to look through the CAS before I even made a Sim. =P So, it'll take me awhile to really get used to the game. LOL It bores me when it takes too long Re: I'm not too pleased with the game - lebeau - 05-06-2009 08:34 PM I guess that's why the slider goes in both directions ![]() I like to spend some time with my Sims. I never actually let a Sim die in Sims 2. I played so many families and kept a steady supply of elixer on hand. I'd let them get elderly, but I never let them pass on. The first Sim I started playing in Sims 3 wants to be a rock star. I got him to career level 9, one step away from his life goal. But he's 5 days away from being elderly and I'm not sure he can make it before that happens. In a way, the idea of an elderly rock star is kind of fitting. But I'd like to try to complete his career before he advances in age. On the upside, he'll be caught up with his elderly wife. That was just creepy looking. In order to advance through his career the way he did, my poor Sim missed a lot of things in life. I'd have liked to have taken a more leisurely pace. Thankfully, the slider will afford me that luxury! Re: I'm not too pleased with the game - Zan - 06-06-2009 09:32 AM I know how you feel man. It takes some time to get used to. I don't like that the game keeps killing off my Sims {cursing}. I leave them for a week to play another house and next thing I know it 1,2 or even my house has just died. {glare} I wish it would at least warn that one of my sims just died and let me see the Tombstone. i still love it though. I'm having a blast!
