Pardon me for being a PC noob.
I've installed the game and it installed all the expansion packs along with it,16 of them.It didn't ask anything,just the directory.
I launched the base game here: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\TSBin
It says 'You are running the wrong version of sims 2.Please run(name changes everytime)instead.
I don't want any suggestions,I want a fix so I can launch the damn game.

Unfortunately for you I don't feel obliged to answer your question. First of all you seem to have ignored clear rules that state that we shall only answer any technical queries if you actively participate in the forum. I have taken the liberty of deleting the other, numerous threads by this individual. They were cluttering up not only TS3 section, despite being a query relating to TS2, but also General Discussion. They were the equivalent of littering so I have done a little sweeping.
