I am thinking about getting pets, because I am a pet lover and I want doggies and kitties in my game.
I have a question about adding a new expansion though.
I have the regular sims, about my mods, like the imsimenator and the inteenimator, would I have to redownload those for pets, because they wouldn't work with pets installed, because the ones I have installed are only for the base game.
Then I have the same question for my custom content.
Then wouldn't my families be erased. I think not, but it has been so long since I last installed an expansion, I forgot this stuff.
I am not a noob, just forgetting or cannot think at the moment.

No,it will be fine! because you could have all the expansion packs and download something just for a certian ep pack. so it will be ok

Your CC and families would be completeky fine. although I THINK you might have to re-nload inteenimater and inseminator, cause i THINK they have EP specific qualities.

Your game should be fine when you add the EP, you shouldn't experience any problems at all. But it always suggests that you should back up your files if you wish, before installing, so you may wish to do that. But you honestly shouldn't need to.
