Hello, my name is Adam.

I enjoy the Sims 2 greatly and am awaiting the arrival of Sims 3.
Now, I used to have it installed onto my computer, however sense it took up large amounts of space and made my computer run slow, I needed to uninstall. I noticed it would say low Virtual memory, and I know a bit about computers but not much and need to know what exactly I need to upgrade, the video card, ram, etc.

Sorry if this is a bit off topic for this forum, but the upgrades are for Sims 2, and I have forgotten some of it and know others who play know a thing or two of how to make Sims 2 run more smoothly.

Thank you!

How old is your computer?

I would say a little over three years or so.

Then you shouldn't need to do too much too it. Have you run a defrag lately?

Oh that would be a nice start! Thanks!

No problem Smile Let me know if that doesn't do much.

If the Defrag does not help much it could be your video card needs to be up graded.

Definately. But start with the defrag. No need to waste time and money if it's not necessary.

Wow, thanks this has helped a lot! I am already beginning the defrag! I am checking the specs on the video card as well!

I guess a way would be to close (which has been reminded in all the game pamphlets) to turn off background tasks. Getting rid of you internet cookies and stuff gets rid of all that unneeded room that it takes up. For this I would recommend ccleaner ^^
