Snooty Sims Has Revealed The Requirements for the game:
Windows XP on PC:
- Processor: Pentium IV 2.0 GHz / Athlon XP 2000+
- Memory: 1 GB
- Graphics: GeForce FX 5900 / Radeon 9500 125 Mb.
Windows XP on Laptop:
- Processor: Pentium IV 2.4 GHz / Athlon XP 2400+
- Memory: 1,5 GB
- Graphics: GeForce Go 6200 / Radeon mobile 9600 125 Mb.
Windows Vista on PC:
- Processor: Pentium IV 2.4 GHz / Athlon XP 2400+
- Memory: 1,5 GB
- Graphics: GeForce FX 5900 / Radeon 9500 125 Mb.
Windows Vista on Laptop:
- Processor: Pentium IV 2.4 GHz / Athlon XP 2400+
- Memory: 2 GB
- Graphics: GeForce Go 6200 / Radeon mobile 9600 125 Mb.
Note that these are MINIMUM requirements. If you want to see the game in good detail, I HIGHLY recommend at least a 256 Mb

Yay! I'm kinda happy about these news!! Since these are the minimum requirements and they are quite tough (nothing compared to Crysis or such as rlly requiring games) but tough in a Sims way (and this is ONLY the miminum requirements not the toughest one) this means that when u have a rlly good computer the graphics are going to look quite nice ^^ yay !
And I love the fact that they don't say that Sims 3 isn't comptatible with laptops.. and give own requirements for lappies ^^ yay
But remember ppl as more expansion packs start coming u need a stronger and stronger computer to play it on =)

yay! I'm glad these are out. Now I know what to look for in a laptop plus if I get a really good laptop that is a good bit above these requirements then the game will look great and run smoothly. Not to mention I will preplan for expansions that will come later on!!! I'm so happy. It looks like maybe we will get TS3 on time! two more months guys!

Hey, how do you find out your own system requirements?nI think I have more than enough, especially when i uninstall The SIms 2, but I just need to compare.

You have to right click on My Computer and choose properties...look at all that stuff, just don't change anything or tamper with anything. And you can check other stuff with the device manager. Then for your hard drive space, just hover your mouse over C: in My Computer or just click it, not double click it.

Ew Snooty Sims. (sorry.. I have a personal vendetta against them... LONG story).
Looks like I'm good to go anyway. I have a 3.6 Ghz Processor, 3 Gigs of RAM, and 2 Gigs of Video RAM... and a NVidia GeForce 8400 GS.
