Looking For: Default Skin Replacements - Majick - 02-02-2009 05:58 PM
I'm looking for a really nice set of Default Skins to replace the Maxis ones.
BUT ... I have very specific likes/dislikes. And that's where you come in.
I can't find anything I like, but then I've only been to MTS2.com so far (I don't know any other sites). As I said, I am looking for a new set of Default Skins for my game. BUT here is the problem ...
The skins I find are WAY TOO glossy, or make the Sims look like muscle builders (yuck!). I don't mind a few accents in the skin, but the ones I've found are TOO accented.
I just want a more realistic looking skin for my Sims, without them looking ridiculous.
By Glossy, I mean like this:

See how the skin has a "glow" to it? The face and arms look like a Christmas tree (all lit up looking), and the muscles are way too defined for my tastes. This is the sort of Skin I don't want.

Hmmm ... They don't look too glossy, and actually seem pretty close the originals, but with a bit more ... realistic look. I'll try em and see if I like em

Hey, I don't know if you've found your default skins yet but I was looking for hair for my sims and found these skintones lol. I don't know if you looked at them yet, but they look pretty nice:

So, I downloaded the Default Skins from Lyran.net ... but they don't show up as Defaults, they just show up as extra CC, like everything else.
Not sure if this is right ...
