I think.
Are they hard to make? Hard to keep updating? Should I try one? Or should I just wait until The Sims 3 (which is what I was thinking of doing).

Naw, they aren't hard to make.
Usually, it's just normal gameplay. You can plan what's gonna happen or you can go by what happens.
You just take pictures of what will be interesting or good for your story, and make a story out of the pictures.
I sometimes plan, then I sometimes don't plan. It would be easier if you plan, but unplanned gameplay allows for some surprises. Then you can make a planned script or whatever out of it.
They aren't hard to keep updating, it depends on how much freetime you have. Some people update almost everyday, some do it once a week.
And it's up to you to wait till TS3. Though, if you do it now, you may get practice for TS3, and will know more about it when it comes out.
And yeah, go ahead and try one!

They are fun to do,especially doing captions.
You don't have to update every single day,just try every weekend,or whenever you can (:
I love making sims,because of the endless possibilities as far as making one.
Get CC,if you don't already. They make it more interesting. {yes}
Or you don't have you,if you want. They just interest me.

You TOTALLY should!
The Philips Family was my first ever family story thingy and I love it.
It helped me to express my personality and to share my retarded sims with everyone here.
Plus it helped me to start playing alot more. I don't play very often as the readers know but I still try.
I hope you decide to! I'll deffs read it :]
