I've noticed that very few people here are digitally downloading the game. There's not anything wrong with digital downloads right?

You mean downloading them from the internet?

Or do you mean digitally downloading it from the EA store?
It's sometimes because of the internet connection. And sometimes its just that getting the actual CD version assures us to always being able to download it to the computer without worrying about somehow losing it online.
I think with TS2, downloading it caused some differences when it came to patches and such, but I don't know if there is anything completely wrong with it.

I don't think there is. But if you mean get it from other sites besides EA and without paying for it,it's illegal.

with the sims 2 i only downloaded the EP's because i like to know that i have the CD for the base game incase i need it

I meant the legal way.
Like with music. You can download the song but have to pay extra to burn it the legal way. I want to know if EA do the same thing.

I'm sure there's nothing wrong with the game itself.
But I like to always have the CD's.
What if the internet cuts out while downloading?
What if your hard drive gets fried and you lose it completely?
How do you transfer it if you get a new computer?
Why even bother figuring all of that out when you can get the CD and box for the same price?
