Help Regarding Aging - lebeau - 05-06-2009 02:40 PM Okay, 90 days seems like too short a life span for my tastes, so I am probably going to adjust the slider to give me more time with my Sims. But that won't help me with one aspect of the game that has been bothering me. My sim has gotten into romantic relationships with age-appropriate Sims only to have them advance to the next stage on him very rapidly. The day after his wedding as an adult, his wife became an elder. It's just creepy. In Sims 2, I could use elixers to keep my married couples aging at roughly the same pace. In Sims 3, I've read about ambrosia. But that seems like a lot of work. And I'm not always looking to reset the current age. I just want to roll it back a few days at a time. Is there anything in Sims 3 that works like the elixers in Sims 2? Thanks! Re: Help Regarding Aging - Mayonaka47 - 05-06-2009 05:51 PM From what I've read, you can choose the life of your sim so that they could be up to 970 days. I'm going to quote the Prima guide on this: dateline= Wrote:"There are actually two ways to prevent death from taking a Sim away. One of the special havestables, the Death Blossom, can be exchanged for another chance at life with the reaper. If the Death Blossom is in a Sim's personal inventory when death occurs, it can be offered in exchange for more time. Hope that helped in any way. ^_^ Re: Help Regarding Aging - lebeau - 05-06-2009 08:21 PM (05-06-2009 05:51 PM)oÊÉɯ link Wrote:From what I've read, you can choose the life of your sim so that they could be up to 970 days. Yeah, I'm definitely going to adjust the slider. 90 days just isn't enough time. Unfortunately, that doesn't help when one sim is more aged than his or her partner and you want to even them out. I did find out that you can use "life fruit" as a mini-elixer. Now I just need to find it! Re: Help Regarding Aging - Mayonaka47 - 05-06-2009 09:47 PM Also wanted to add this when it comes to adjusting lifespans: Short: 25 days Medium: 50 days Normal: 90 days Long: 190 days Epic: 970 days Re: Help Regarding Aging - cerealkiller410 - 05-06-2009 10:25 PM how do you adjust the silder though? it's frozen out when i try to move it. ??? {unsure} {wacko} Re: Help Regarding Aging - Zan - 06-06-2009 09:59 AM Its in the game options.
