When I try to install the new update, It downloads fine (thanks to our new fios) but when it goes to install I get an error saying that it failed. What do I do? Is it my computer or the patch?

I had the same problem, I had to reinstall my sims but first do you have any mods? if so move them somewhere other than them mods folder for now.
