Windowed Mode - Majick - 10-09-2009 03:26 AM Okay, I did a search and I did find a thread about how to play TS2 in Windowed Mode, however it's not working for me. I followed the instructions listed in the thread here: http://www.simsforums.net/the_sims_2/how_to_play_sims_2_in_a_window-t2531.15.html However, when I put the -w where they say to put it, I get an error message that says the file path is invalid. Because my computer crashes when I try to play the game full screen, I want to see how it works windowed. Can someone help me figure out what I am doing wrong? Re: Windowed Mode - b-rad - 10-09-2009 03:30 AM MAke sure its a space after the " Re: Windowed Mode - Majick - 10-09-2009 03:32 AM In both bars, or just the top one? Re: Windowed Mode - b-rad - 10-09-2009 03:33 AM Just the top one I believe. Re: Windowed Mode - Majick - 10-09-2009 03:34 AM I'll give it a try. Thanks! Re: Windowed Mode - b-rad - 10-09-2009 03:35 AM That is only from memory, keep that in mind XD I hope it works though Re: Windowed Mode - Majick - 10-09-2009 03:42 AM So far so good. 800 x 600 is too small, but if I go any bigger, it's too big x3 I'll try taking pictures using 800 x 600 ... if they come out okay, I might see how well this works out. Re: Windowed Mode - Majick - 10-09-2009 03:46 AM Okay, looks like this will work out well! Hopefully, by playing in Windowed mode I'll get longer play time between computer crashing >_> I'll just need to get used to playing it differently. I'm used to using my mouse to move around the screen, but in Windowed I can't, I have to use the arrow keys ... that's gonna take some getting used to x3 Re: Windowed Mode - b-rad - 10-09-2009 03:49 AM Ooh, it worked? Re: Windowed Mode - yoshman9000 - 10-09-2009 03:52 AM You don't need to use the arrow keys. Just right click and scroll around. I do that all the time. |
