points? because the website
makes such a big deal
about points, and i've never
given points a thought.

It doesn't really matter. Here, no one really considers points. I think one Sims 2 challenge I did, I DID consider the points out of curiosity, but it doesn't *actually* matter. It's completely up to you since the whole point is to have fun.
