Re: Possible Seamless Aging Proof!!!
there was no point in advertising the flashing bride and the fire breathing kid. totally unrealistic. I mean, really. And the kids hanging from walls and stuff? weird
Although I like the beginnning where TS1 sims turned into a Sims 2 simĀ

Re: Possible Seamless Aging Proof!!!
I wanted the kids to be able to slide down the banisters and hang from the ceiling fan.

I guess I can understand why they did it...but its just sooo freaking unreal. I remember being absolutely BLOWN away when I saw that trailer. The trailer just looked so full of life and drama, but the game wasn't anywhere near that! One of my favorite parts of the trailer is the daughter getting married. You can tell just from that clip that all the sims have distinct personalites - like the pregnant, hair dyed bridesmaid. Not to mention the perfectionist bride. |

Re: Possible Seamless Aging Proof!!!
I've just watched the trailer again for the first time in a long time... there's definately so much more drama and each Sim has a distinct personality - TS2 was nothing like that! Please let TS3 be like this... I absolutely adore that trailer, except for one tiny thing - it was nothing like what it was advertising. :

Re: Possible Seamless Aging Proof!!!
Do you think that you were more excited about the release of TS2 than TS3? I think I was, maybe because I was younger. I just remember looking at the screenshots and freaking out. Of course they were also staged... Remember the one with all the teens partying and then another with them all crowding around a fight? It made it look like the parties were actually fun.
Oh also the one with the cops bringing the kid home and the parents being at the door in their pajamas. It made the teen lifestage look really fun, in the game I was pretty disappointed with it. |

Re: Possible Seamless Aging Proof!!!
Oh, I remeber those pictures! They were totally misleading, too... EAxis are brilliant at setting up situations and scenes, making us believe something can happen when it can't. Don't always put your faith in what you see.
But yes, I was more excited for TS2 because it was this HUGE step up from TS1, expecially what with that trailer and such. It jumped from 2D to 3D. And I was only about 10 or 11 while we were anticipating TS2, and I'd never had to experience the wait for a game before then - so yes, I looked forward to TS2 more.
