Grant Rodiek: We know players, or some of them at least (looking at you) like to kill off their Sims. We've got the classics - electrocution, fire, hunger, old age, drowning. The twist we wanted to make with The Sims 3 was not HOW they die, but what happens once they die.

In the Sims 3 you can have a playable ghost - as in after a Sim dies you can actually have them "re-animated" somewhat and play as a ghost. Ghosts also look ridiculously cool and have ghost babies.


Laaaaaaame.  >_<  I don't care about controlling my ghosts.  I tend to delete tombstones so they don't ever come back!  And why the heck would someone want Ghosts to HAVE Babies?! *annoyed*

To answer your question, you're just part of the percentile that DOESN'T like ghosts. Not everyone plays the sims normally and think playable ghosts and having ghost babies are quite cool. I don't really like ghosts, but I don't question why they play the way they play, they just do. {glare}

I agree with jeni like uhm yeah why is the appropriat word i thought it was called sims because it was simulation game and i thought simsulation games reflected real life where you dont tend to see ghost flaoting around having babies lmao

They put the supernatural stuff in so that they can annoy Rod Humble apparently. I read it in an interview somewhere.

Yea i read that too. I agree with Jen though, why cant they just let sims pass on instead of making them real (kinda). But they only come back if you want them to. Apparently you have to take them to a science lab or something.

I never really cared for the whole zombie sims, making alien babies and so forth in The Sims 2. I tried once when my male sim got pregnant with an alien sim for a quick thrill, however I like to make sims real people, and stick to reality. The only time I would play around with ghosts, is if I'm trying to create a love story between one of my sim couples, and to end it by playing the ghost of the one that passed away, so that they be together one last time.

It's also been said that sim ghosts are not forever, there is a limit to how long you can play as them, and after that they are gone forever...no point...no return!

I don't mind supernatural stuff, like Zomibes, Ghosts, Witches, Aliens, etc. and so forth.  But I just think it's downright stupid that Ghosts should be able to have Babies.  THEY'RE DEAD.

And so what if I am in the small percent that doesn't like it, it's still my opinion and I have a right to express that I think it's a stupid idea.

It's an optional extra. Use it, don't use it. Who cares. It's an extra feature. That's always a plus if it's not forced on you.
