I think the idea of the store is to enable players to download individual pieces from SPs/EPs without having to buy or download entire SPs/EPs.

Some people are picky, and only want a few items from each EP/SP, so they now have the option to download only the pieces they like. Even if each item is 1 us dollar, if you download the 15 individual items you really like and they're the only ones you really wanted anyway, that, in it's own way, is better than buying several EPs/SPs just for the few items you woulnd only ever use anyway.

Spend just 15 or so dollars for the items you really want, versus the 30-45 dollars you'd spend for the EPs/SPs and all the other stuff you Didn't want.

The price is still ridiculous. It's worst than a pay site. Plus they made new content JUST for the store, and a lot of it is glitched up. So you can't say they are doing this for the better good.

Glitches are going to happen. Even professionals make mistakes. It's something new, and needs to be worked out. Give them a week or so, and I'm sure the glitches will be fixed. As for the prices ... well, really, one dollar isn't that bad.

It's also a way to teach younger players financial responcibility. How to get what they want, but also how to not go overboard.

I don't agree that it's fair perse, but I do agree that there is a learning experience here.

Really, what it boils down to is that NO MATTER what EA does, there are always going to be people who are going to Hate it and who will complain. And then we wonder why EA doesn't listen to us or do more for us. Because, really, what's the point of Doing something, when all you're going to get are people who will whine and complain that it's not fair, or too expensive, or not original, so on and so forth? Even if they can't please the masses, they're making an effort to please someone.

It's hard for me to believe that they are trying to teach people financial responsibility.

But really, I've found some really bad glitches in their items, and a lot of mistakes.

I mean, even some of the hairs were really poorly made. If they are going to sell people stuff for actual money, they should try a bit harder on the products. The cubic set was really poorly made and some of the items blend together. It's not my graphics card, it's the items themselves. Truthfully, I've seen better stuff on non-pay sites, like Holy Simoly.

$1 a piece adds up a A LOT over a short amount of time. Plus with several hundreds of people buying, they've probably racked in over thousands of dollars by now.

As I said, glitches are gonna happen. I'm sure they've been contacted and will be fixing items, or removing them, whichever they see appropriate. Maybe their original idea was to have that as a coffee table, but the coding never got fixed. It happens. You have to keep in mind they have a LOT on their plates right now. And some things are going to slip through the cracks.

why are still making ep sims3 is coming and im pretty sure people are going stop buying because it would be a waste i just going to buy the sims3 and give all my sims2 games back used at gamestop hopefully they take them i need room for all the new sims3 ep who agrees with me

They are just trying to get as much out of Sims 2 as possible, obviously.

I'm not going to be selling my Sims 2 games though. Sims 3 and Sims 2 are two separate games. You might not even like Sims 3 as much as you like Sims 2.

I doubt they want people to learn their limits. Rather, they are probably hoping some idiot will go through and buy as much as they can. More money for them. Which is why they sell everything individually.

They have been contacted. They are refusing to fix them, or give people their money back. People actually have to fix the things themselves after they paid money for them.
