RE: Engelbert Humperdinck
Everytime I hear the movie "American Graffiti" mentioned, I've got "Green Onions" going through my head the rest of the day!
I love those old time "coming of age" movies. Currently watching a weird one just now, about kids in Australia going into the outback to camp before their last year, and when they come back they discover the country's been invaded! Just hope the scriptwriter wasn't that Human Centipede guy, or I'm gonna cry!

RE: Engelbert Humperdinck
Tomorrow When the War began? I read that book but I was sick when my friends went to see it in cinemas. I guess it probably didn't get a big theatrical release outside of Australia/NZ?
I love coming of age films too. I actually watched The Graduate last night, haha. I really enjoyed it, had to get over hearing Scarborough Fair about 6 times, though. [center] ![]() [center] |

RE: Engelbert Humperdinck
Yeah Tomorrow When the War Began (which had a great soundtrack as well). It was good enough fun, although the moment you saw there was an ultra-religious pacifist girl in it, you just knew she was going to end up being the one most up to her knees in invader blood before the end of it!
It never made the cinemas over here, it was only on Sky Movies repeats. I think they tried to get it in the cinemas over here, but everyone was frightened of offending the Chinese and North Koreans (even though the invaders are never named - personally I thought it was the Indonesians!). I thought the terrestrial channels (BBC, ITV, Channel 4) would have shown it long before now because the girl with the funny nose from Neighbours was in it, but the books aren't as well known over here as they are in Oz (where they're something of a national institution I gather) so maybe that's why they didn't. Now you've mentioned "The Graduate", that'll be The Sound Of Silence going through my head all day!

Haha! Dustin Hoffman's voice kind of annoyed me a little.
Ick, Neighbours. [center] ![]() [center] |

RE: Engelbert Humperdinck
I don't watch any soaps anymore. I'm online almost all the time and forget time. I rather watch videos on youtube.
