sims per household
I was thinking. Because we will have a seamless n hood, with sims walking all over, do you think we will have a greater number of controlled sims on a lot then with ts2, or at parties?

Controlling eight sims each with 5 possibly different traits of their own sounds pretty hectic if your the control freak type.

Of course you could control them all at sometime but I'm guessing most of the issue was having a slowed down game.

And parties, you were only able to invite a certain amount over and they weren't controllable.

With ts3 and everyone walking around your screen, and with no loading or lagged screen everytime someone comes on a lot, do you think that now with parties we can invite a whole lot more, or maybe an unlimited amount of sims over? (though I doubt it)

New 17" Laptop with wireless printer/scanner combo-$1,400
Sims 3 Pre-order-$70
College Books-$500
Being envied by your friends while they cram for exams and you play TS3- PRICELESS!!!!

Forget Visa, Mastercard, and American Express- it pays to Discover!!!!

Re: sims per household
There was a discussion about parties the other day suggesting that there should be something like block parties in this game where you could invite 10-20 people or so. It may lag like a snail, but I guess we'll never know until we actually have the game in our own hands.

I rarely play anymore than 5 Sims per household because I'm one of those control freaks. Big Grin
If more than 8 can be added then that would be pretty cool I guess.

Re: sims per household
i would like to be able to control more sims per household. i really like BIG families with at leat 5 children, the two parents, and grandma and grandpa living in the same house. OH and don't forget max the dog and fluffy the cat!

I would like to be able to control about 12 sims per household. I'm A DEFINITE control freak, but ive learned the art of pausing almost every 5 seconds. it makes the day go by slower aswell.

ps. OHMYGAWD they should have a control freak trait!

Re: sims per household
a control freak trait will be hillarious
having bigger parties won't be a problem now i think because you can kinda already see those sims since it is seamless so now they will just be at your sim's lot instead of other lots
about the bigger number of sims per household it could be very difficult to control a lot of sims but if someone wants to try i think we should definitly have the option

Re: sims per household
We should have bigger parties. After all, we can just switch between every single Sim there now. I dont know if I am a control freak but I cant really handle a household bigger than five without going mental. I am like Adam here, I pause an awful lot to keep control of things... oh wait. I guess I am a control freak, haha.

And more Sims will DEFINITELY be allowed in a household, I feel. Rememeber now, there will be much little micro-management, that was the biggest trouble having too many Sims in a household - taking care of those needs. Now its more about living, and it will be easier to care for them in that aspect, so I feel we will be allowed more. Probably about 12.

Re: sims per household
I forgot about needs not being so important! (it seems like a waste of time to me, i like planning ahead, and now it looks like i cant plan TOO far ahead) but thats relieving. not just with big families, but with movies you're shooting that require a lot of sims! (use can use boolprop now, but UGH) or an orphanage or a fake workplace that sims really live in like a hospital that you want doctors to live in and stuff.

the amount of sims at a party doesn't relly bother me, since i can invite 8 due to my computer (you can invite more if your computer is better) (aren't i selfish) but if it is a party like a wedding party, then they need to invite BOTH of the "newlyweds" family *coughbigfamiliescough* and their best friends and best men and maidens of honour and stuff. so yeah - MORE PEOPLE FOR PARTIES!

Hopefully we can have 12 people for parties of even more. Big Grin

Re: sims per household
People have been mentioning block parties with like, 50 or so Sims! How amazing would that be? Now, if my computer could just handle that...

Re: sims per household
I would just love to have a family of 14. In fact, I don't see any reason why they shouldn't allow it (Seriously, contributes to global warming?? What was EA thinking? lol) except for the fact that it would make the game really slow. It's slow enough with 8 people! Imagine doubling it!

Have you ever thought about taking up simlish? <3

Well actually in the interviews they talk about how sims can do long term planning, so you might get to plan even farther ahead!

But I definitely think that we should be able to invite mad people to parties. Not to mention the fact that I want parties to be wild - at least some of them.

Also, what kind of computer do you have? I want one.
