I would enjoy this idea as well but I see two problems with it which is why I think EA avoids the issue:

1. Teens and kids play the game and if this aspect was added, many parents would be in an uproar and demand that they put a higher rating on the game. So teens and kids who used to play it would no longer be able to. Some politically-minded person may get a hold of it and try to ban the game altogether.

2. If teens were to get pregnant and have babies, some players would want to see the teens "live with the consequences" and that their relationship with their parents and peers should automatically go down.  Others would argue that there's nothing wrong with being a teen parent and nothing should change in the relationship or wants category. Then there's always the argument of whether the teen should keep the child at all or be given the choice to have the "social worker" come and take it away if the teen doesn't want to be a parent (romance teens might not want to keep it since romance adults fear having children) and this is presumtuous. Talk about a can of worms.
