My Sims are too slow

So I came across somthing a little strange. I was goofing around and made a family of 6 sims and put them in a lot, I was trying to use the speed tool and it seem as thought the more sims you have the slower it goes... Because when I had just 2 sims, it went very fast, on "ultra fast" but with 6 sims "ultra fast" is like regular fast. lol  If that makes any sense.  I was trying to get the sims through the night and it took forver! I had to sit there and wait... it seemed like forever, but with only the 2 sims, it went by sooo fast! like 5 seconds!  You should try it. See if you get the same problem.  ???

Oh, and I made a new game, and had a baby, and when the baby is selected in live mode, you can't "fast forward" in the game, you have to switch to one of the adults, and then fast forward.  At least that happend to me.  HMMMM........ {unsure}
