Re: Things you DON'T want to see in Sims 3
Okay, there are a few things that really bother me.
Sims is supposed to be a life simulator, except there are some things that just DON'T happen in a sim's life. That's what I like about it. I don't want a dark, depressing world for my sims. I don't want guns or car crashes or murders or any violence of ANY sort. I don't want teen pregnancy (like seriously, what kind of horrible idea is that?) I don't want deadly diseases or anything worse than the flu. There are so many "realistic" things that people want to put into this game, like hospitals, sports (which are okay: it helps promote good health to children), laundry, recipes, lawn mowing, menstrual cycles (this is where I will draw the line. No. No. No. NO.), etc. I don't think these are necessary. To me, Sims is about the more major things that change in one's life, not just the everyday tedium. Pets are tolerable even though I could live without them. I would NOT buy this game if the majority of it consisted of tedious everyday tasks. That's not what Sims is about. In short, I want my Sims world to be more utopian. I also support the removal of religion, friend-dependant promotions, awful-looking clothes that will never be used, menstrual cycles (what the heck), hair drying, teeth brushing, loans (or any kind of bank thing), elaborate weddings, or homeless people. |
