RE: inZOI - Anyone tried this new Sims style game?
It appears to be getting slaughtered, but people are forgetting it is early access.

Some of the bugs however are unforgivable when people have parted cash for it. For instance, you can walk through buildings and landshark (takes me back to my days on the Evil Dictators servers for Medal Of Honor that!), except this time it's with the cars (not even BF2 managed that).

Those are basic game physics constructs that are meant to be hard coded from the offset, not merely for the sake of immersion, but to prevent crashes.

This does appear to be more of a running trend with new games - put out as quickly as possible and patch later if it is economically prudent to do so - that is, the game took off, and tough luck if the game flops, you will be stuck with the buggy mess forever.

Everyone girned about being beta testers for EA with the Sims series, but even TS3 at its worst never had this level of outright horrors (or maybe I am getting old & forgetful?) being put out and expecting customers to pay for it.

It's good fun finding errors and exploits in new games, especially those exploiting game gravity rules to cause things to bounce around uncontrolled. Who remembers the ancient art of troll rolling in Skyrim?

It is less fun when your new shiny toy crashes without warning, often because some other glitch you can't see and can't control results in a fatal error before you get the chance to save your precious game progress.
