Parenting children

I haven't been slapped for a long time. My mum realised quickly that by the time I was 6, I did not give a monkey's armpit whether she slapped me or not.

Well, parents should be able to discipline as they please, that's none of my business, but it doesn't make slapping right, whether they use it or not, in my humble opinion.

But anyway, I suppose this isn't about the real world... this thread has turned into a debate over whether slapping children is good parenting or not.
