Well think of it this way, in real life you have attachments to certain places and people. That doesn't take over your life. As far as sims having positive feelings towards places, this would just enhance situations, not drastically, but give it a special boost. Concerning negative associations, these would resolve themselves over time. If a girl rejects a guy for a date then he might avoid her for a day. Then he would get over it. If someone is left at the altar, they might be really antsy the next time they were going to get married. I wasn't ever thinking about this as being a HUGE component of the game. Just something that would kind of quietly enhance the sim experience
