I've just thought of something. You know how they say "a watched pot never boils" and "nobody will come through an open gate"? Well, I guess that sort of applies here. The more we ponder over when the game is going to be released, the longer it will seem. I say we just get over it and wait for new news.

That probably doesn't make any sense to you. But it makes good sense to me. So, in that case, I will stop whining about the lack of Sims 3 news and just continue living my life and posting away. That way Spring of next year will sneak up on us and surprise us all.
