one family per neighbourhood, good or bad?

My understanding is that you get ONE neighborhood, but can make as many families as you like. You can only play ONE at a time though... BUT your other families you made and are not playing will grow along with the one you are playing. So it seems you will have to play your legacy out one at a time.

Also I hope you can make another neighborhood, like you can in Sims 2 because both my husband and I play Sims and I don't want my family growing as he is playing his family. So we will have to have different neighborhoods to keep from this happening!! Which is sad as I like our families to interact, but c'est la vie.
