You know, that's a good question.
Well, I reckon you will get a choice menu that resembles the one you see when your Sim is calling friends. You will get a wide window with avatars of all Sims in the City. And you will be able to sort this list, like alphabetically, by interests, by friend status, by family relations and so on and so forth.

I think that would be cool. Especially because now, when I know there's something up with Sim A in some place, I can switch in mid game and make Sim B walk by and then switch back again to Sim A and see what happens. Wow. That would be great for story telling. So I hope they'll go for that sort of solution.
