Technically yes, but it is not advisable.

Sims 3 uses some Operating System functions to work (whether PC or Mac). Also the registry key for the game needs to be stored on the computer you are playing it from. So if for some reason you have to change the hard drive of your main computer, or you try to use it on someone else's computer, you've no chance.

Looks like you're going to have to make room on your Macbook.
