This thread is annoying me now.

Wanna know why?

Every time I read the word "Tweak" I think it says "Twak". And I'm all like "What do they mean, what do they mean, they have nothing left to 'Twak'?! EA/Maxis aren't Twakers, whatever a Twaker is".

Anyway, I think they're just telling us the latest date it would possibly come out, so they don't like, tell us it will be out this summer and then disappoint us by saying it won't be out for a while after Summer. They've left themselves a large time space to complete the game perfectly, without having any time pressure on their shoulders.

But yes, I totally agree, I just think 2009 is a safety net. Christmas 2008 - the sales would rocket in comparison! I'm happy to wait for the game, even if it is 2009, I like the waiting (usually). I just think, well, EA like their money, and dollar signs are written all over a Christmas 2008 release.

Yeah, if it was to be released at christmas you can just imagine how many sales they'd get from all the kids and teens wanting that game under their christmas tree. I'd rather have it as a christmas gift than buy it as soon as it came out.

Having something like that as a gift means more to me than me just buying it myself.

Exactly, and it would be much more helpful, as I wouldn't have to save up for any of it myself, and I'd appreciate it much more as a gift, too. So I'm not giving up any hopes on 2008, even if some people are dead-set against it (believe me, some peope really are).

I personally think perfection isn't part of our world so i would take it all the same! lol!

They would have all Eps 'n stuff packs to try to reach this state of perfection, 'n no matter what happens they would make those to get more money from us so...

Yea, its not coming out in 2008. Sorry Cassie I mean lets just hope that it comes out in early 2009. Considering the EA hasn't always been the best with releasing games on time, it could be quite a while before we get it.

I won't be surprised if it came out around xmas. Or even new years day for that matter, new year, new Sims! But, I'm sure this year will go by fast, we will be buzzing by then, and we'd appreciate this forum a lot more. We would have so much to discuss.

Yeah im sure they are just trying to make sure they added all they needed too and see what needs work still making little improvements as best they can and adding new things they come up with along the way. but my guess would be its 75% or so by now. But not done.

Well, I'm glad some people are open to a 2008 idea. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to hurry the process, I'm happy to wait until 2009, and Nicole is probaly right, it 95% 2009, but I still think the dollar signs will be too much for EAxis to ignore.

Yeah honestly with an estimated time period as a due date..anything could happen..it could be a correctly estimated date..or they could end up changing their minds and release it sooner...or they could have set their hopes to high and release it later than expected..so anything could happen really.
