Unfortunately I was too young to appreciate the benefits of them being so 'in' with the Sims community, I didn't realise the rarity. I truly think they are very much less interested in what we as fans feel, what we want etc. It used to be that way, but time changes things. I think they listen to us on a baseline, a foundation or sorts, I don't know... they take in the basics of what we want, the most obvious too. But really they're concentrating much more on themselves and the money than the fans, because they know how we work and that we'll always be here, buying the games like puppets on strings. How unfortunate. I feel like I'm wrapped round their little fingers... Sad

well that's your opinion and i do respect that. i really understand your feelings. strangely, though, i personally feel that i'm suddenly getting everything i always wanted to see in that game. there's going to be more game in it. so somebody must have listened very hard and must have been thinking very hard. but maybe i'm a different kind of gamer, wanting different things and while i love the community - well, you're right, they are neglecting us and are not communicating the way they used to - but i still think they're making great progress with the game which is my priority.

i'll just wait and see what comes up. i'm not that nervous about it, since i'm still enjoying sims2 and i'm already planning for when Apartment Life comes out. then i can finally really get into the story that i wanted to do from the very beginning (been simming ever since the first game came out). my characters are so ready for apartment life. lol

well, ultimately, i guess patience is the magic word here. you might not like EA's attitude towards us at the moment but maybe you are still going to love the game solely for its possibilities. who knows. many great developers have no idea how to communicate with people and they produce the best games ever.

i must know. i'm a developer myself and i say we are the most uncommunicative lot ever. i'm an exception that's why they always send me to the meetings. i love people more than computers and i love to see people get some fun out of their games (i'm an alien in this society lol).

Hehe, I know I'm going to adore the game no matter what! It's going to be brilliant, I don't doubt it. But I don't excuse EA from the way they treat us. They do make good games, and I appreciate that. But they aren't listening lie they use to, and they ignore us for large periods of time, which infuriates substantial majorities of fans. No one wants to be alerted of something (TS3) and be told to expect great things, and then subsequently ignored and left with nothing. {no}

However, I agree wholly that this will be a great game, and that is my numer 1 priority too. {yes} I just wish they respond to us better is all. I have no doubt this will be the best game in the world. Big Grin

yes - i know what you mean. and i do agree with you on that. absolutely. i'd wish they'd treat customers as human beings and not as money pots.

Re: letting us down lately
i am kind of torn.
on the one hand, i KNOW the game will be amazing, i see that in interviews and screen shots and the information ive reread a million times since march. i can go without updates since i know the game will be worth it.

though, on the other hand, the gaps of time between the updates is horrifying.
i can go a couple weeks without new news, but between march and summer just inst enough.
march i was freaking out.
now? im only a percentage of how excited i was back then.
its like eh, it sounds cool, but i dont think ill be excited again until i get new or until the game comes out.

when the sims 2 came out, i only got into it because of all the videos they made for it, reading about it was cool, but i wanted to see for myself.
and i must have watched the pets trailer about a million times. [i am an avid animal lover, no lie]
that video with the red headed guy where it starts with his hand splitting into seperated fingers and then going through life from the view of his living room made my jaw drop.
i was sooo excited.
i just cant wait to see a video. or get some of my questions answered.
