I think sims get sick too easily... I hate that! Especially when one innocent sim gets sick from a stupid NPC, then the whole family ends up sick and they get sick over and over again! And yeah I agree that they need medicine... in real life laying down does nothing.

When my Sims are sick, I kind of just ignore it and make them carry on as normal, although it annoys me when they stop what they are doing for a big massive cough fit that lasts ages. If I just ignore it, I forget that they're ill in the first place, and then a few Sim hours later it says my Sim is better, and I'm like "Ooh yeah, she was sick with the Flu, wasn't she?" I do care for my Simmies, but what's the point of laying down, it takes just as long for them to get better laying down than it does just carrying on as normal in my game. And I've never had a Sim dye of sickness in my game.

I've had a sim die of sickness. Very suddenly. I was like, "What the heck?" Because it was the first... and LAST... time it happened to me.

yeah that would be cool. and instead of creating a whole hostiple and stuff they should just have a house doctor

yeh sickness would be kool but if it had a bigger effect like you get to stay home from school and stuff cause a hate it when your making your sim doing something important and they just having a coughing fit lol but chicken poxs and stuff would be kool

yeah i agree when they are sick they should know it and call in sick from school or work ( calling in sick to school or emailing whatever should be an option)

Yes, I agree. And I know it's been discussed countless times, but there definitely should be pulling-a-sicky option for children, too. I'm sick of them being angels all the time. I'm going to have fun making some of those naughty little kids spend the day at home on their computer and eating ice cream. I can't wait to see how this would play out, if it's in there.
