I watch all the games I am painfully awaiting on Youtube, like Pokemon....it kills me that it comes out in Japan a year early.

...At least it isn't a month to a year earlier...I can wait for an extra week...

And is EA and Maxis in the US???  Why they get it early?  Just wondering...I would understand if the game was being made there.....They like them more....I guess...heard there are more sims freaks there...LOL!

Of course...im one of them {yes}

That game is gonna be all over youtube.

Trust me...people love to tape awesome games that they get first, so some people can watch in envy.

I am gonna be entertained by it though, not have envy.  I always watch a movie on my computer as I eat dinner.  Now I will be able to watch TS3.  And it is entertaining, due to the many stories people have.  People burning and killing sims on purpose, people firing sims, sims cheating...it is like a big-time drama...anything can happen!

I'm also getting the game guide, so I can read it when I can't play TS3.  Like at work, but I will be having an room to myself this semester, so I can plug up my laptop, and play that game as I fix computers and install software.  My Sims 2 guide is worn out...That kept me entertained for years.

Re: Austraillians and people from Holland You are lucky!
I'm still thinking this may not be true. EA said a Feb 20th worldwide release, so... uh, this isn't worldwide? ???

Like I said, I wanted to load TS3 and be overwhelmed with surprises, so I'm not going to watch videos or look at pictures from other users from Feb 12th onward. I just, would feel spoiled (even though we'd have seen tons of videos before). So I'm going to have to be very careful.

I feel totally the same way, which is why I don't want to see any pictures of videos from users before I get my game. It's just going to spoil it for me. Because of course there's going to be surprises in there that EA isn't going to tell us about, and plus, the videos will be proper in-game videos from users like us, and it's going tot ake away some of the joy and surprise I want to feel when I load Sims 3 for the first time.

When I first load Sims 3, I want to know that this is going to hold some surprises for me and such. So yeah, I don't want to see any user videos or pictures from Feb 12th, I'm going to avoid the forums and wherever else I may have to.

I'm from holland,too.
But,I don't think people should be stressing over it too much.
I mean,c'mon,it's just ONE day.
And I don't think that I'll actually go OFF the sims to post you guys some screenies,I would never do that because I wouldn't be able to stop the game because I'm too addicted. 2. I don't want to spoil it for you.
And as for the people that get it a week before us -- I'm not going on the forums till I get the game myself then, lol.

You're right.  I do have to contain myself, because that would spoil me too and other stuff for me. (I have no self-discipline)  Also, it's not that long of a wait, so I can contain myself.  It is gonna be hard, since I am always looking for stuff to watch while I eat.  (I have to contain myself)  And I agree with Rikku...I may not go on the forums after they get it, because that ruins info for me.  I'm gonna wait till I get it and play it.

And there are people that would stop the game, or between playing the game that will post videos and screenies on youtube, just to get suscriptions, ratings, a little attention, and hear some praise.  Trust me.

When America gets it, this forum may be abandoned for a while...everyone is busy playing TS3.  Then we may go on here and post when we are getting ready for school or work, or at school or work.  LOL!

***But then you think about it, the many articles ruin it for you the months before the game comes out, so you know everything, like the beginning of Fable 2, which was told in an article...BAD!!!

Re: Austraillians and people from Holland You are lucky!
See this is the weird thing for me. I LIKE looking at Sims 3 pictures and videos before the release, but after the release in some parts of the world, it'd going to fee like a different zone, a no-go zone that i don't want to be near. I don't want to see users persoanl pictures and videos from their game because then I'm knowing how the game is going to look for me. I know it's weird to find a difference between videos before the release and the videos after, but I still feel that it would kind of spoil my first experience of TS3. I want to hold onto the few surprises we'll have left by February and make sur eI see those surprises for myself in my own game. I just know it's going to make it more fun.

And like you, I don't have great self-control, but I'm going to trust myself. Smile
