What if she was a forgiving Sim lol? Or maybe she'd learn to adjust that he just can't help it, it's in his personality, and she loves him too much to let it get in the way.

Yeah, I'm sure a forgiving Sim or an easygoing Sim can adjust to the klepto trait... but admittedly it's going to be hard for klepto's to find significant others.
