Re: I'm not too pleased with the game
Hello Fellow SImmers,
I have been lurking in this forum for a month, just to pass the time during work and read on what is on other simmers head about SIms 3. Just got the Game yesterday (June 2, currently June 3 here, where I am from). Got it installed and was blown away by the huge change of gameplay. So far I found the game to be a blast, although I must admit that this game needs some getting used to. Like holding the right mouse button to move the screen, I have always been the edgescrolling type, but decided to stick with the right mouse button even though I can change it back to edge-scrolling in the options menu. I still have to more to explore and discover in the SIms 3 . Can't wait for work to end

Re: I'm not too pleased with the game
Reading this has brought me down tons. I even woke up this morning, uber excited that Sims 3 would be out tomorrow. I really appreciate hjosh85's post. It's making me feel alot better!

Re: I'm not too pleased with the game
You are not alone Bat, I too im disappointed with this game. It didn't live up to the hype. The graphic settings is beyond irritation, things were so much simpler in The Sims 2, another thing is in The Sims 2, you changed the graphic settings and never have to constantly restart the game just to have the settings changed {cursing}. I feel cheated out this game, and they went ahead and pushed it back 4 months (for what exactly? {rolleyes})
Another input is the traits, its no where near as over 60, its a very small list, and some of the traits they said that was going in to be in the game was taken out, the camera angles are frustrating, it makes no sense at all. My gameplay too is also crappy, and my system has the strong ability to run the game. When I first played CAS it was kinda of slow in some parts, and then it was kinda of fast. One other thing that I do not like is when you edit the town, it doesn't give you as much options to do so, except swtich the lots around, thats about it. You cannot edit by adding more trees and bushes, and also when you try to build a house, it doesn't give you an option to choose your own lot size, which makes no sense what-so-ever. In the settings, I set it up, and when I moved my sims into their house, the grass looked very wierd, as did the trees and the sims themselves. This is a shame, even though I do not condole to pirates who downloaded the game, but now I see why they did - at least you know what you were getting yourself into. EA is a hot mess, I for one will not buy any more products from them, not even from the Sims 3 store which I think is a ripoff. They were better off releasing this game back in February. Just as I suspected the delay was for money reasons, not for them to clear up any problems. Looking forward to a patch, and EA do not delay that or you are going to have a lot of angry consumers. {cursing} The Sims 3 Is Right Around the Corner - Waiting For Our Hands to Grab It! |

Re: I'm not too pleased with the game
I don't think the game is awful, but frankly, it wasn't worth $70. Maybe I just have to get used to it or something. I like CAS, but building houses and the actual gameplay is frustrating for me. I hope that it will grow on me, though. And I must kind of like it, because I'm awake at 5 AM on the first day of summer vacation to play it. XD

Re: I'm not too pleased with the game
This game, for sure, beats the crap out of TS2, in my opinion. I'm sure for those who can run and play it, you'll get used to the game. It's a big step up. I never had a problem with weird graphics or restarting after changing graphics. I never saw a problem with the whole game, except I didn't like the new scrolling, but I'd gotten used to that.
Here are some screenshots: One of my created sims talking to Marty Keaton and some dude. The fat dude did something inappropriate...I think did something to Marty's face. In the background, that toddler is Lindsay Keaton. ![]() Then that other dude's roommate working out. ![]() Then Palmer...that's his name..talking to the Goths, after joining the athletic career. ![]() Then I played the Goths for a bit. Gunther went to sleep unhappy...his wife wouldn't give him no loving....and he really was unhappy. That's why he probably isn't snuggling with his wife. (I'm not serious) I just have to improve their relationship, so he can fulfill that wish. ![]() Pokemon and Fire Emblem Forum

http://pokemblem.b1.jcink.com/index.php? |

In my game only the great granddaughter of Gunther and Cornelia is what's left of the Goths XD
