My old school offered Spanish, French, German, and Latin (I took Latin and Spanish at the same time XD) and then my recently old school where I live now offers Spanish, French, and Japanese and probably something else, but I forgot. Anyways, I think its an alright idea. Its just that some people want to learn other languages besides what is near them (Like Latin for example, and Japanese, and Chinese). That and some people don't like to be forced to learn languages.
