I just read in the forum that you can only have one town at once... are you KIDDING ME????
*Sniff* I play like three towns at once... I need separate towns for my stories... Is there any truth to the rumor? Tick tock. Tick tock.<br />Only so long before my head explodes in anticipation of TS3.

its the truth,if you were to play 2 towns or more alot of the sims would be old you no with everyone aging together even when you
aren't playing them ;D :'(

It says "Only one town will ship with the game".
My understanding is we will be able to build towns, as they have also said "you can upload your towns for other to share". We wouldn't want 10 towns the same, so I am assuming we can make our own.
