Maybe a disappointment?

I was thinking about this for a while, and I wondering about the ability of controlling more then one family at a time. I hope we are not restricted to controlling just one family, because without the seamless neighborhood it would fill like The Sims 2 all are over again, but just revamped.  {blink} After watching some videos on youtube, some of the interactions are all the same as well.

I will still play it of course, I just hope I don't get bored with it to quickly.  {no}

I agree some interactions are similar as in TS2,but for some reason it looks better.

I know someone who downloaded the Sims 3, i dare not play it though. He says that yes, it is an open-world game, but it's nothing like in the trailers. Like there's barely anything really happening until you start something. Apparently you can't control more than one family, and you have to go to the main menu to switch, he's been complaining about it for a while.

The way i can summarize it: it's all there, but it's just there for show.

I think a lot of people are/were expecting too much out of TS3.  EA has built too much hype and we all know their trailers don't always show actual gameplay that we may experience.  Look at TS2 trailers...a lot of that stuff was never in the game.  I am expecting gameplay to be like TS2, but more interactions, better graphics, the seamless n-hood, more intelliegence, etc. 

First thing I'm gonna do is make more people in CAS and put them into my n-hood, so I can have a higher chance of something going on.

yeah you'll have to go to the main menu to switch families. it doesn't take too long though.

Why is everyone worrying about interactions looking the same? It's not like it's the biggest thing EVAR, and you'll be focusing on gameplay and having fun not the silly intereactions being the same  {rolleyes}

It won't be the pirates aren't the full game so you might not have to go to the main menu!
