I've been so excited about TS3, being unable to sleep because of how long i've been waiting for it. After reading about all the lagginess, glitches and you not liking the game is starting to turn me off.

Do you think that they'll release patches for the game to improve certain things?

but there are just a few bugs and it lags for the people who don't meet the minimum repuirements (as moi)

You aren't alone. I've been feeling the same way lately.
But what cheered me up was a trailer on TheSims3.com. I don't know if it's new or old..  {blink}
It's the one where it says 'Create the klepto' and 'Create the Gold Digger' and 'Create the super spy'.
I think it's very recent.. You should check it out.

This should cheer you up slightly:

The game is AMAYING. Sure, it's not completely what I thought it was going to be, and there are a few things they need to work out, but that's to be expected with ANY game, let alone a game like this. It's MASSIVE, but we already knew that. We were warned that many computers (especially laptops!) may not be able to handle it without lagging, crashing, or possibly not even running at all. Anyone who acts like they were completely caught off guard by this has no right to be that way.

Of course they'll release a patch. It's always been that way: they release the game, we moan and groan about the glitches, they listen, and they fix it. Now, the game was JUST released yesterday, so don't expect a patch sooo soon. If the glitches bother people that much, just don't play for a few days. No sense messing with it if it's only going to aggravate you more.

I haven't had very much time to play it yet, but from what I have seen it's looking like I'll love it. And I'm sure you will too, Rena. Don't worry about what other people are saying. Your opinion is what really matters, so wait until you have the game before making up your mind about it.

I think the people saying it's trash just need some time to adjust. Either that or they have very closed minds. Hello, it's not TS2. Just as TS2 wasn't TS. Rather than comparing it to previous installments, treat TS3 as a completely new game. Maybe that'll help you enjoy it more.

Also, I think the people who don't like it are being more vocal than the people who do like it. So it seems that most people are disappointed when really it's not THAT bad.

Anyway, don't worry about it. You'll have the game soon enough and be able to form your own opinions.

Now I'm afraid it won't even work on my computer...

The game is great so far and it works fantastic on my laptop and the loading time is not even that long its alot faster than the Sims 2. I think you will like what you see with the game. It may take a few minutes to get use to the new interface, but so far I have enjoyed the game.

Also, I think people were expecting too much as the change from TS to TS2. The change from TS to TS2 was huge so it definitely won't be the same from TS2 to TS3

Rena, you took the words right out of my mouth.  I was so ecited to get this game, and I look at this section expecting to see amazing topics about how awesome the game is, and I find "The Game Sucks"  "The graphics are horrible"  I only here the bad things.  Where are the good things?!  There are bad parts of everything!  And like Bambeh said, it just came out, and its HUGE.  Its bound to have some problems.

I am more disappointed to find that my computer cannot run it.
