She is sooo freaking cute, too!

And she's ... get ready for this now ...














PINK!



I was sitting here looking at FA and ... I dunno ... the urge to draw something Pink ... it was so weird.  And I was like .. OMG a Pink Kitty would be sooo cute!  With pink fur, and hair ... but with Purple eyes ... OOO!  And the tips of her bangs on one side would be white!!!

So ... I started to draw.  And she's ... SO ... freaking ... CUTE.  This is the color pallet I wanted to use:

And, I managed to get pretty close to this, even with my limited color range with my colored pencils.  So, I pulled out my colored pencils.  The light pink wasn't a problem.  Just basic pink.  It was the darker Hair color that was driving me nuts.  And then ... I found it.  The perfect color ... and her name.

Cerise.

*squeals!*  I was like ... you name people Lavender and Azura and whatnot all the time, so why not this random sounding color for a name!  Then I did some research.  It seems the color Cerise has been used as a name for some time now (first recorded use of it as a name was in 1858. However, it was used at least as early as 1846 in a book of crochet patterns) and the Cerise color name comes from the French word meaning cherry!

So ... DUH! It all came together   Then I was stumped for eye color.  And I dunno ... Purple seemed to work!  I didn't wanna do green, I didn't think that would look too good, maybe it would but I dunno ... Purple = :love: so that's what we got there.

OMG I wish I could scan her >_<  The pose she's in is cute too!  And she's got the poofy/spikey 80's style rocker hair!!!  AUUUUGH! ;___;  I've got a second sketch started, too!
