So I made a new legacy last night because my old one was getting tedious...
I made the mum & dad in CAS, one of them had pure black hair and the other had a dark brown/auburn-ish hair.
Then they had two kids. The first one had black hair, but the second one had very light blonde hair. O.o
Since there were no previous Sims in the legacy to pass on any kind of blonde gene, this confused me a little.

I only wanted them to have two kids, but I had them have one more just to see if this one ended up blonde - it didn't. This one had the mum's brown-red hair.

Where did the random blonde hair come from? Has anyone else has this happen before?  ???

I don't own TS3 but could have the game randomized their parents or something? Or just gave them that gene. I know that sounds stupid but it's late so yeah xD

Or it could be a error of some sort? ???

I'm being unlazy and trying to research the answer. I don't know why I care so much, but meh. xD

It sorta happens, They tried to make it more "Realistic" by being "Random". Theirs a small chance of having a random hair trait. Just be imaginative and its from the ancestors... xD

Right. I've been Googling my question. It says there's a 10% chance of a random genetic appearing. So I'm assuming it's this. I wouldn't have mind if the child had grandparents or something with blonde hair, but this is my first generation so... O.o 

I could change her hair to black or brown and pretend it never happened, but I'm just going to leave it since I'm inexplicably fond of it for some reason. xP
