Yeah, they're Asian [well Syed and Amira are]. That's the whole storyline. They don't accept homesexuality in their culture, and Syed is married to Amira, but he's gay and having an affair with Christian [not Asian], and Syed can't decide whether to tell Amira the truth, but then Christian goes and tells everyone Syed is gay during a party [Syed and Amira bought their first house and were celebrating with lots of family] the whole family is like 'omgggg noooo beeetch', and Amira reveals she never was pregnant even though she told everyone she was. So now the whole family hates Syed, Syed has lost Amira and he doesn't want to be with Christian anymore after what he did, and Amira is taken away from Walford [the soap, basicallly] by her disgusted dad and we see that she is actually pregnant after all, and she's sort of smirking to herself.
