RE: What are you doing right now?
Well on my iPad, quick reply works in safari 75% of the time.

RE: What are you doing right now?
I wonder what changes for the other 25% of the time. Can you ever use the standard reply or only ever the quick reply? The normal reply for me brings up a box within a box and it doesn't post the reply no matter which of those boxes I type in. Oh well, doesn't really matter I suppose as long as it can be made to work somehow.
I think I will go and lie in a cold bath. |

Whipping up a tray of muffins (choc chip and oats), although it really is too hot to have the oven on!

RE: What are you doing right now?
Resting my tired feet. Got up really early today to drive to Granada to visit the Alhambra. Fantastic day and loved the gardens but very tiring to walk around for hours on cobblestones in this heat. Glad we went though, what a treat!

RE: What are you doing right now?
Alhambra is very moorish (I think that's the word). Amazing to think despite the Spanish Inquisition so much of the architecture & style of the old Islamic Iberia managed to survive (& survived the British & French armies during the 19th stealing everything that wasn't nailed down & of course the civil war as well).
I've dug out an old humidifier & it appears to have helped cool the place slightly, although I've thrown out a ridiculous load of spiders that were all drying out in the heat & dashed out looking for water (I dumped them where the garden had been watered so they could munch the aphids as well - wins all round).

RE: What are you doing right now?
After throwing out a giant harvestman the size of my hand that was climbing the walls (how did it get indoors anyway?), am now enjoying a cup of tea with mini-Ritz with Dairylea & a grape in the centre.
Highly refreshing to my refined palate!

I'm watching some musical episodes of Horrible Histories on the recorder box wotsit and planning a visit to the Isle of Wight! |

RE: What are you doing right now?
Waiting to see who the next Dr Who will be. Although I'd prefer that they kept it a secret until the Dr regenerates. Why reveal it now?

RE: What are you doing right now?
One never dunks a Ritz in ones tea. Not least of all because there's so much salt in them. Salty tea, yuk!
They made the announcement on the new Dr Who probably because the ratings are in freefall & they're desperate to close the public's consciousness of associating Dr Who with The Elephant Man asap. Someone I know is kicking themselves over Peter Capaldi, because he cancelled a load of artsy fartsy engagements with local councils up here last month due to "unforeseen circumstances", & now they know why. There's a mini-scandal broken out up here because the merging of all the files from the various Scottish police forces into one has uncovered a report from last year, the findings of which were kept secret from the Scottish government & now they're going bonkers. To cut a long story short, they were asked to look into whether there was any correlation of increases in domestic violence & football clubs losing games. There was already one that showed that domestic abuse figures shot up by a quarter after an Old Firm derby, but for the sake of comparison they were asked to do club specific ones. The figures were negligible for the most part, expect for one. Every time Rangers lost, on average domestic abuse incidents shot up 10%. Considering Rangers got papped out of the League Cup by Forfar yesterday (the first time they have ever beaten Rangers in over 100 years of existence), horrible to think some wives and kids would have been dreading some butthurt boozed up bigot looking to use them as punchbags because his team lost to a "diddy club".
