Prima Guide?

Re: Prima Guide?
Then what is really annoying me is fansites like the 1up sims 3 section, they have upcoming articles, including a very big sims 3 discussion with Rod that is coming up.  Waiting for it is annoying me.  They said, "Stay tuned on this websites through the months of March and April for the articles." (What they said was exactly the same thing in different words.)

It is April 30 and they won't release the last three articles.

But....

I'd they didn't post all the juicy goodies first hand we'd be mad at them and loose interest. But, if it weren't for them posting everything, we would be more hype because everything we see on the official site would be relatively new. No one wins until the game is in our hands I guess.

You are right.  In order for there to be a winner...the game will have to be in my hands.

Re: Prima Guide?
Hmmm see, that all makes me wonder why would EAxis put out a site if their main focus is to give more info to the fan sites? If 1up proudly anounces that in March/April that they will have a huge new story, what's the point of opening ts3 site if nothing new is being added?

If the fansites have interviews and new info set up frpm the producers and designers, that means that someone is cominicating somehow with the designers. If they know what info they will be releasing, why not post it on the origional site or email the VIP fans first hand? Of course fan sites touch more bases (which may answer my own question lol) but I'm wondering, if and when we get our emails, will it be the same info they will list on the site or give to the fan sites. That doesn't make me feel much like a VIP member lol.

I would guess that the only reason the site was created so early was to get us aquainted for when everyone shifts from ts2 but that's another year or more from now. If they were frequently updating it with tidbits I would understand, but they aren't. I get more from fan sites then the origional site lol. But who's complaining? Wink

Re: Prima Guide?
I get more from the fansites, too, but thats okay for me. What you did say about us getting out first E-Mails about things we already know, well, that scares me. A lot. I am really looking forward to my VIP E-Mails from them, and if they even DARE to treat us like were special talking about something we found out a month before, I am NOT going to be a happy bunny. I know for a fact they know there are fansites out there who specialise in scraping out all the newest information they can, but yet they act as though everybody is oblivous to those sites, and it rather infuriates me. They had better be putting fresh new information in our E-Mails.

Re: Prima Guide?
yeah it would be nice to be treated like vip. and i know they have always liked fansites to be more in depth then them. not sure why maybe because they like fans to be involved as much as possible..but in my opinion you shouldnt have to make a fansite to learn new info.

Re: Prima Guide?
I agree. I'm not mad at the fansites because at least they give us the latest news but I wish as fans, they would also give info on the official site, or individually so we too can feel important.

Re: Prima Guide?
I never used to buy them because I could usually figure things out for myself, I might buy thenm all now, since it's obviously a much bigger world out there!

Re: Prima Guide?
That's a point, Adam. It seems things are going to be much more complex now. I am getting really tempted to buy it now, even if it's released after the game (which would be rather stupid of them).

Re: Prima Guide?
I hope they release it about a week before it comes out. that way we have time to farmiliarise ourselves with it before the game comes out. if it comes out after the game i will have a heart attack installing it!

and if it comes out too soon, we'll have to wait to do all of the cool stuff in the guide, and our enthusiasm will slowly die...

Re: Prima Guide?
Yes, I agree, about a week or two would be cool, but no earlier, I'd go mental wanting to play the game! But if it comes out just that little before, we can have our time to memorise or highlight all that important information and we'll know the basics at least. And it'll be fun to just flick through it and look at all the pretty pictures, hehe. Smile
