Not sure if its been suggested before but...

Imagine your Sims' cooking possibilities with a new cooking centered EP or SP.

As an EP...

From scortching pancakes to creating elaborate dinners for weddings, dinner parties, and retirements! Your sims can now go to cullinary school to become the top chef or create the ulitimate business using great grandmother's simtastic gingerbread sim recipie from home!

Will they persue their dreams or flip burgers for the rest of their lives?

As an SP..

More food and recipies to follow! This can bring garden lovers to a new level and winning contests (like in free time) can show what it takes for your Sim to be the best cook possible.

Or, make even more money at your bakery.

This of course would be geard towards ts3 or maybe ts2

This was my cheesy attempt at presenting my idea, what do you guys think?

You are so creative!!!

I really love that idea. It would make a lot more people interested in cooking and those people who are natural cooks, gourmets,and green thumbs can have a lot more options to have with their talents. I am tired of food just being in the kitchen. Cooking contests and businesses is such a great idea.

Good thinking for posting it on Sims2.com. Hopefully, they see it and get an EP idea, or put it in the game, as long as it won't push back the release date,

Well, I don't expect them to put it in the base game if they did like the idea. I wouldn't want to push back anything then it already is, and there's always ideas and room for expansion.

This site is full of creative simmers, in one post I suggested EA to check us out over here and left the site address, and that we have a ton of great ideas.

That would be a really cool Idea for an SP, i don't think they would make a whole ep to do with food, its too much of a smal area to cover.

I was hoping that food would be included in kitchen and bath, seeing as food is cooked in the kitchen! (grrrrr, we need new food!)

and i loved the cooking contests in freetime! they probably wouldn't re-include it in the basegame, but somewhere along the track I hope they do!

i would love that as a stuff pack it would be a little more than a stuff pack though considering there would be contests to win and all that. i love the idea though.
it could add family food interactions too..like setting the table for fancy family dinners..baking cookies and other desserts..etc etc..
a food sp would be pretty cool if it had all the right stuff.

Yeah. I mean, in order for it to become a EP it would have to cover a huge range. But! this could also be a career in a super start EP! there are plenty of chefs who make a bunch a money. This career path could add on as a EP for Superstar along with, hairdresser, singer, actress, athletic, architech, etc. But I would definately buy this as a SP so I could have all the foods.

I think this sort of thing should have been included in Freetime. I think with the cooking hobby A LOT more foods should have been added. Hopefully there will be lots of food to start with in TS3.

yeah especially if cooking and ingredients and all that is going to be in the game and actually affect how others react to your cooking and all that.

Then people who do not have a trait that improves how they fix food can either be an okay or a bad cook. Imagine at a gathering, the sims always avoid a certain sim's food, knowing it is nasty, or can make people sick. Then sims with dirty traits sometimes do not cook after washing their hands and stuff. People find hair in and get sick from their food.
